Trip Martin
Trip Martin is the Founder of GeorgiaLink a Public Affairs Group that secures and strengthens relationships between the private sector and government. Trip and his GeorgiaLink team draw on their unique mix of experience in politics, private industry, government and professional associations to steer legislation and mobilize business and political communities to create opportunities for a diverse clientele that includes Fortune 500 companies, associations, entrepreneurs, professional groups and local governments.
Trip Martin began his Government Affairs career in 1981 as the Director of State Government Affairs in Georgia for Southern Bell. In 1986 he was promoted to the position of Director of Legislative Affairs for BellSouth in Washington, D.C. where his major responsibilities included the development and implementation of strategies for dealing with Congress on national telecommunications policy issues. He has served as the President of the Georgia Pulp and Paper Association, Vice President of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Southeastern Public Affairs Council and was a participant in the Leadership Georgia Class of 1983. He is currently serving as the Vice President of the University of Georgia National Alumni Association. He is a member of the Atlanta Club Society and the Atlanta Athletic Club. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the First National Bank of Johns Creek and The Bank of Ellijay. He is also a principal in MAPA Ventures Inc.; a Washington D.C. based business development consulting group.
Trip came on board with Harry Norman, Realtors in the summer of 2005 and works out of the Blue Ridge office as a part-time agent. Trip has been coming to the Blue Ridge area for over 20 years and during that time has successfully introduced numerous friends and families to the area. Trip is married to a great wife, Ginnie and they have three children, Ashley, Sev, and Knox. In the fall of 2007, Trip and Ginnie will welcome their first grandchild.
Trip resides full time in Atlanta.
